Crafting with Nature
— Discover the beauty of craftsmanship shaped by nature and generations of island life.

Amami’s traditional crafts, such as Oshima Tsumugi weaving, mud dyeing, and indigo dyeing, are born from the island’s rich natural resources — plants, mud, seashells, and seawater — making them naturally sustainable and deeply connected to the island’s environment.

These intricate techniques, preserved by master artisans through years of dedication, require incredible skill and patience.

Every piece tells a story of harmony between people and nature.
